My Heritage Story
When my mom passed away… I was 17, my world was crumbling down and I was so lost and confused. I pretty much ran from my problems and was moving from place to place like an orphan wanting to belong. In 2004 I got married to my 1st husband and moved to KY right after. In 2007 I decided to get a divorce. That same year I met …my husband now. …we dated for about a year and moved in pretty quickly.
…we started to attend Heritage, and I was pretty opened to the whole church thing and at the same time didn’t know what to expect. All I could remember the Choir was singing and tears were running down my face…. It felt so overwhelming and I felt like home. That was the beginning of my journey with Jesus. We became members and got baptized together in 2008…. In 2009 [we]… got married and still [are] happily married to this day. Here we are married for 10 years and still going strong. Our love for each other is now based on Jesus Christ and the Word is our foundation. I’m learning every day to be a virtuous woman, an amazing wife, overcoming my fears, to be aware of the presence of God, to build my self-esteem to be able to love people. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life to be a part of Heritage. Heritage is Family!
