Most people think that because they act better than someone else, they are good enough to go to Heaven. Are you good enough? Answer the following questions and see what you think.

How many lies have you told in your life? What do you call a person who tells lies? If you have told lies what does that make you? (9th Commandment)

Have you ever stolen anything? Even if it is something small like an ink pen? What do you call someone who steals? (8th Commandment) What does that make you?

Have you ever looked at another person with lust? Jesus said if you look at a person with lust you have committed adultery with them in your heart. What do you call a person who commits adultery? (7th Commandment). If you have looked with lust at someone, what does that make you?

Have you ever taken the name of God in vain? In other words, have you ever used God’s name as a curse or swear word? That is called blaspheme. (3rd Commandment)

If you have answered “yes” to all of the above questions, then you have broken 4 of God’s 10 Commandments. And by your own admission you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart and a blasphemer.

If you were to die tonight and if God were to judge you by the Ten Commandments would you be innocent or guilty?

Would you go to Heaven or Hell?
